From building his first website on a mobile device to holding global roles at Automattic – the company behind WordPress.com and WooCommerce – Sunday Ukafia has spent over a decade helping people build websites, businesses, and better lives through WordPress.

As a WordPress community leader, he has pioneered multiple communities, including the Uyo WordPress Community, the Elementor Nigeria Community, and others, as well as mentorship for WooCommerce communities across Africa, helping thousands of beginners across the continent discover freedom and opportunity within the WordPress ecosystem. His journey began over 15 years ago in a noisy internet café in Nigeria – a humble start that led to a career spanning continents, communities, and even a love story: he met his wife through a WordPress project.

Today, Sunday travels the world, speaks at conferences, and mentors the next generation of WordPress and internet professionals. He’s the author of The WordPress Playbook, an eBook that invites readers to start where they are, build a meaningful career with WordPress, and live life on their own terms.
